The Chinese Wall
Aagt (Celia Nufaar) is a lonely woman. Bruised by life. Her marriage was a failure, she missed the love of her life, her only son stood up against her, her daughter in law was a bitch and her husband died in his chair sitting next to her. During her visit to the Chinese restaurant, on her regular table, we get to know her by her thoughts. She is a straight, even stiff woman, but with a sense of perspective and humour. Aagt reflects her life on that of the other guests. It turns out that things aren’t always what they seem.

short film, 2002
